This August I traveled with my friend Bryna to Brighton, England in order to meet Sharon Lewis, the brilliant UK songwriter who was half of the duo Pooka. Sharon arranged for she and I to play a house concert together through the Brighton-based house concert collective "Healthy Concerts" (here is the poster for the show). It struck me as funny that I don't have any quality pictures to show you from that concert. Maybe it is because I cried for so much of the night. Sharon was absolutely brilliant live, so emotionally clear, so coaxing. Bryna started crying on the third or fourth song and I was bawling soon after, all the way through the end. Sharon played a set, and then I played a set, and then we played a short set together (after which I recommenced crying).
